Schotel macaroni recipe



Ingredients
• 250 grams of macaroni
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 3 pieces of bacon
• onion
• garlic
• 250 ml of liquid milk

Sauce ingredients
• 40 grams of butter
• 50 grams of wheat flour
• 200 ml of liquid milk
• broth
• 50 grams of grated cheese
• 4 eggs
 
How to make

1. Boil the macaroni according to the boiling directions listed on the package. When cooked, remove and drain.

2. Heat the butter in a skillet then saute the onions and garlic until fragrant. Enter the corned beef and bacon. Mix well and set aside.

3. Then pour the milk into the pan. Add the edam cheese, mix well then add powdered nutmeg, pepper, salt, and powdered broth, stirring constantly.

4. When it is well blended, remove the pan and set aside. Next, mix the boiled macaroni with the smoked beef and corned beef.

5. Add some of the sauce into it and add 2 beaten eggs, then mix well.

6. Now is the time to prepare the pan. Prepare a rectangular pan and then spread evenly with the inner margarine.

Then pour the macaroni mixture into it, pour again the remaining sauce. Also add the remaining 2 eggs, and sprinkle with the shredded cheddar cheese.

7. Bake at 170 degrees Celsius until dry and brownish yellow for about 40 minutes. Remove the macaroni schotel and serve hot.
